ゆく河の流れは絶えずして、しかも、もとの水にあらず。よどみに浮かぶうたかたは、かつ消え、かつ結びて、久しくとどまりたる例（ためし）なし。世の中にある、人と栖（すみか）と、またかくのごとし。（「方丈記」より）

我ら「時」の中（うち）にあり。「時」より、逃るることあらじ。
「時」流れて、万（よろづ）は生滅せり。風生（な）りて、花は揺る。花揺りて、汝打ち泣くが如く、露流る。
「時」、等しくして我らの前（さき）に迫れり。「時」を聞こし召すは、げに創造主なる神なり。
神は我らに「生死」を与ふ。アダムとエバ、初めに「罪」犯ししのち、その「罪」によりて「死」なる獣（しし）や、生りたらん。
我らの憂き世の終はりの日に、我らを食はんと待ち出づ。げに「死」は生きたるや。
されど、憂き世の終はり、憂き世の旅人（たびと）なる我らの終はりの日に、我が肉は獣に食はれ、我が魂（たま）は、神のみもとにて、常磐に、とこしへに憩はん。アーメン。
